Killin - at the west end of Loch Tay.

A variety of shops and restaurants. Also the famous Dochart Falls

Kenmore - at the east end of Loch Tay. Visit the Crannog Centre and the Courtyard. Climb Drummond  Hill for a spectacular view over Kenmore and surrounding area.

Aberfeldy -  visit Highland Safari  ( Dull), Castle Menzies, Cluny House Gardens, Birks of Aberfeldy.

The Trossach & Loch Lomand - Loch Katrine, walk, cycle or sail on the Sir Walter Scott steam ship.

Glen Coe - site of the infamous slaughter of the McDonalds by the Campbells in 1692 on the orders of King William 111

Stirling - visit the castle favoured home of the Stewart Kings.

Argylls Lodging dating from 1630 an important town house some of which has been restored to their style.

National Wallace Monument - climb to the top and see a panaranic view of Stirling also see Scotlands legiondary freedom fighters sword.

Bannock Burn Heritage Centre, where Robert the Bruce defeated Edward 2nd to win Scotlands freedom from the English.

Blair Drummand Safairi Park.

Red Kite Trail (Argaty Red Kites)

Doune Castle, a 14th century courtyard castle

 

 

Perth - famous capital of Scotland.

Scone Palace where Kings of Scotland were crowned, see the Stone of Destiny, Mary Queen of Scots needlework.

A pleasant city with nice shops.

 

Oban - visit McCraigs Tower with some fine views over the bay. Oban Distillery. Board a ferry to the Isles - Dunstaffnage Castle.

 

Scottish Sea Life & Marine Sanctuary. Great fish restaurant on the North Pier.

 

Inveraray - with it's castle and gardens. The jail, stand in the dock!!

 

 

Kilmartin Glen - 5000 years of history with Standing stones, forts and castles. One of the most important areas of Neolithic and Bronze age remains in the UK.

 

 

 

Great Drives

So many of them, hard to choose, but two of our favourites are - around Loch Tay with a stop off in Kenmore at the courtyard for a scone and coffee.

 

Drive up and over the hills past Ben Lawers to Glen Lyon​.

A stop off at  the Old Post Office, Bridge of Balgie for a great light lunch (great soups and homemade bread)
