There is so much to do both on and off site, a week will be too short for your stay!

So lets start onsite. For the fishermen out there, Loch Tay is famous for it's salmon fishing. Boats can be hired on site either by the half day or the day.

If you have your own boat then bring it along, launch in the harbour and enjoy the most wonderful scenery imaginable as you cruise around the loch. (Loch tay is approx 15 miles long by an aerageof 0.9 miles wide)

If on the other hand you would like to learn to sail then Legend on site can help you do just that. Plus they will hire you a canoe  or bike - take it up Ben Lawers and let you  ride the bike down the other side and through Glen Lyon,  and pick you up again.

If you prefer activity not quite so robust then maybe archery would be your thing or a turn around the putting green or a game of football .

Maybe you are exhausted just reading the above and a quiet time on one of the two balcony's back at the lodge with a good book is more up your street. But with such stunning scenery around you might just have a problem keeping your mind on the story line!

For children then again there is much to keep them occupied on site. A play area up the hill. In the south-east area of the grounds is an area for football, miniture golf, or racket games on the green. And when thats over, games, DVDs, lots of books and for the younger ones, drawing and colouring all provided back in the lodge.

As for eating out! Onsite there is the 'Bistro on the Loch' wth stunning views over Loch Tay, restyled early 2013 with a new chef and menu. About 2 miles on the A827 towards Killin you will find the 'Bridge of Lochay Hotel' one of our favourite places to eat, with the food and the service 'excellent.' In Killin (3 miles from the lodge there are many places to eat of varying prices. Details of a lot of these  in our brochure back at Horseshoe Bay Lodge.
